Didn't the postability guy pass away just a few weeks ago?

Wow, is there an "unlike post" button? By all means, show us the programming environment for your multichannel B axis machine running on MCAM. I'm sure it will be quantifiably more robust than Esprit.

Too many bugs in MC. You should welcome a new software with open arms, unless it's surfcam or gibbscam. Esprit is becoming more and more relevant in my area due to the lack of MC support and all of the bugs.

I mean I wasn't posting seriously, I was just trolling...

Of this I have no information, but apparently yes, you are correct. That is quite sad. Not sure what they will do moving forward but their posts are quite amazing.

What you guys would say about this video.
The man used to work for Esprit and he shares he’s thought about the software

Pretty sure I heard the exact same pitch from a former Esprit AE who went to AutoDesk. He may even believe what he is saying.

FeatureCAM also has an amazing interface for multi-channel that makes Esprit look like the clunky mess that it is... However, at my previous employer we had a FeaturCAM product manager at our shop for a week, and never posted good code to our NT 1000 SZM. Literally after a month of us struggling, we gave them a week with the machine 100% down for post testing. Couldn't get it done. After a year we just gave up.

The point is that pedigree is really, really important when dealing with these machines. They can show me all the software tricks they want, but I won't believe that it can actually be implemented at the machine until I see the thing running. Esprit has plenty of issues, but it is the only multi channel solution I have ever used that can be counted on to provide accurate simulation and good code 100% of the time. On a B-axis machine, the importance of those two items is often so high that everything else could become irrelevant.

lol how concerned is solidcam about Esprit! They bashed Esprit more than they promoted their own software lol

"it took me 2 or 3 years to be able to use Esprit" lol hilarious!

I used one on a Haas UMC750 and it was quite good, and machine simulation. Hopefully someone (if there is a someone else) will take the reigns,,,

I have done a pretty huge amount of customisation to it though.

I do have an unmolested FC post for a NT/NTX with lower turret that I acquired from somewhere while I was tweaking mine. I think it came from someone on the FC forum. It's not mine though, so I make no guarantees for it.

If you want it to play with pm me your email address. I don't have a machine simulation file for a lower turret NTX however, but they are fairly trivial to make if you have a model of your machine, and you don't need one unless you specifically want to do full machine simulations inside FC.
