Dear Experts,
Greetings of the day.
Using SolidCAM addon in Solidworks.
Have a peculiar problem and need someone to guide me.
We have about 6 cavities on a hot forging die face. 4 of the cavities are to be machined as per model and CAM with Z axis as '0' on the face of the cavity.
The other two cavities and Z axis are to be moved up by 1 mm. Meaning the cavity profile and depth are as per model but the machining should start from Z+1, so that i get the entire profile with a depth of 1 mm less. This is for the compensation of the flash thickness of the hot forged component. Usually, we machine the cavity with Z axis as '0' and after the cavity is done, we machine the top face by 1 mm, which is what i want to avoid.
Hope, someone can suggest me.
Regards.
