10-09-2020, 12:21 AM #22I hope you are joking.
I'm not sure what's worse, a thief or a snitch.
Politely tell the guy to fuck off and go about your business
I'm on the fence here. Most of us bit the bullet and paid for our seats so when I find a thief that is bidding against me with less of a financial burden because he is using stolen software then that to me warrants a call to the reseller. If there is no punishment for using stolen software then why do any of us pay for it to begin with. We could cancel out licensing and just torrent it. But,,,,Then there is no incentive for the CAD/CAM companies to keep developing new features and bug fixes.
Then again just reading the guys post shows he really has barely just a basic understanding of Mastercam and whoever he's working for would have a hard time bidding work. So, In this instance it would be beneficial for us to keep our mouth shut and bid against them.

I was joking. Kind of.
Cracked software rattles my chain. I know, those companies can be jerks sometimes but that doesn't excuse stealing.

You must be a really shitty pirate if you didn't even grab the default posts.
Edit: I also have no idea who is letting you program a real CNC machine when you don't know what a post or a machine definition is, but I'm sending some prayers their way.

Yep, they are pretty important, most of the time you just won't notice them if you get the correct one with the post or if your control isn't a strange configuration. They control things like where the coordinates are output from, and how to deal with arcs and such. Basically how the NCI is configured before the post translates it.
We had a router that took upside down Z numbers where Z- was a positive move and vice versa, and all of the IJK positions were output as absolute coordinates from the origin. That was handled in the control definition.
P.S. Hey buddy, make sure you keep that computer offline. I've seen what happens firsthand when that seat starts phoning home.

I know exactly what you have.
Either you have an HLE version which I think expires after a year.
Or you have a pirated copy (most likely X5)
Or you have a "legit" copy from your previous shop "I was using Mastercam at my previous job. It was a copy they had." and since you cannot transfer a Mastercam license unless it's included with the sale of the shop, then you have an illegal copy.
So, tell me again tough guy, what kind of Mastercam do you actually have?
Just be honest and tell us it's a cracked version, because we all know that's the answer.
