Has anyone here found an efficient way to do engraving wrapped around a bolt for instance?
It's super easy for planar engraving - just select the text and away you go.
However, for engraving on something that's not flat then it's a royal pain in the ##.
Seems like I need to pick one line segment at a time in the geometry selection tab. Engraving function does not work very well for this, so i think 2D pocket or contour is the way to go.
Would be great if Haas made a VPS template for this where you just pick the location, stock OD, orientation and the text you want to inscribe. Super happy with our new ST-30Y and its pre-made templates are fantastic.
