Mastercam X .nci file format

Hi!

Does anyone have documentation for the mastercam .nci format? I'm using mastercam with a Deckel dialog 11 system but the posts that came with it doesn't work very good. And since I don't have the documentation for the mastercam MP postprocessor programming language I've decided to write a new postprocessor in C.

The MastercamX_Post_Parameter_Ref.pdf documentation only cover a few parts of the .nci format.

The posts that come with MCX are generic and actually come from a Fanuc control format. From there, you can modify the .PST file to create a post that works for your machine. I'd talk to your dealer and have them provide you with one since you have a fairly recent purchase. Unless this is an upgrade. In that case, if you have a post that works in MC9, I'd use the post update c-hook and start from there. You don't need to get into the nci. The .PST file is the one you modify for posts. You can open that file with any text type editor or use one of the editors provided with the CD.
