Call NextEngine and see if they will scan something like that for you. Send it in and ask them to send it back and email you a file. I think they'll do that for you.
....and yes you can duplicate things like that. Be aware of one thing though....You must be careful of duplicating other peoples "art". It is very easy to capture something someone else has slaved over so make sure you won't be violating copyrights, etc.
Some people in the restoration buisness use our scanner for duplicating obsolete hardware and old wooden scrollwork that they need to match.
