Hello, I'm new to this but as we are running out of options I thought I would try this out. We are a machine shop that specializes in the building of thermoformed molds. Problem is most thermoform companies are getting their own tool rooms and cutting us out. We are still old school machinist, meaning we still turn handles here. We do have 2 2-axis cnc's but we also have 2 Bridgeport 3D tracers that we use to put cavities in the molds. I guess what I'm asking is, is there any one out there that is needing tooling made. We are even thinking of getting more into job shop parts. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks

The old man I used to work for gradually got away from molds and ended up doing repair work for farmers, road construction companies, food processors, and the funnest projects was custom car parts. Irrigation pumps and equipment is another good area to make money.

It's a couple ideas to get you going.
