Hello. We are looking for a qualified CNC Operator/Programmer for our knife factory. New West KnifeWorks is a growing USA based maker of fine cutlery for the kitchen and field. This is a full-time job with competitive pay.

Job Title: Production Engineer
Reports to: Floor Manager
Compensation: Based on Experience.

New West KnifeWorks is growing! NWKW is looking for experienced and qualified individuals who know their way around BIG MACHINES. CNC routers, VG Grinders, patented serration machines, and the tools of full blown iron works shop will be at your disposal and under your direct responsibility.

List of formal responsibilities:
Set Up CNC machines for operation.
Set up tooling for daily operation
Perform daily, weekly, and monthly machine maintenance
CNC machines
Air compressors
Dust collectors
Vacuum pumps
Prepare spoil boards and materials for machining
Troubleshoot machines and work with tech support to fix issues
Prepare Spoil Boards and Materials for production
Clean all surfaces thoroughly
Precisely align G10 Sheets
Create Ironwood/custom material handle sheets for production
Ability to modify programs and create patches
Experience with Aspire and Solidworks
Knowledge of correct process so errors can be identified and corrected
Create production schedule of handles based on SKUs needed
Coordinate with McGrath and Production Manager for weekly needs
Maintain surplus of handles of all SKUs
Keep CNC room clean and clutter free
Keep track of G10 inventory and handle inventory and coordinate with Production Manager for ordering
Schedule and coordinate with other employees to shut down CNC’s running past normal hours
Coordinate CNC schedule to run 7 days a week
