Need to be ready to fill a position on either of the below schedules.
2nd shift 1:30 PM - 10 PM Sunday - Friday
Or 1st shift 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM Sunday – Friday

Responsibilities / EXPECTATIONS include:

Programming (Okuma OSP + HAAS), set up, and operation of multi-axis CNC machine tools include VMC (Okuma M560V) and Mill Turn centers (Haas & Okuma).
Perform offline programming and CAD using Fusion 360. Applicant must have 1+ years of CAM Programming experience and an excellent knowledge of G-Code.
Set up multiple machines with minimum time and utilize optimal feeds, speeds and cutter combinations and tool selection.
Use and maintain precision inspection equipment such as micrometers, indicators, electronic height gauges, optical comparators, and gauge blocks.
Read and understand engineering drawings and blueprints, including GD&T, conventional dimensioning/tolerance, as well as the ability to infer tolerances for a given part function.
Interface with engineers directly to accomplish design goals and manufacturability of parts.
Apply thorough knowledge of machining materials such as aluminum, stainless steel, plastics, alloy steels, and various tool steel.
Manufacture parts with close tolerances +/- .0005″ and achieve surface finishes 16RA or better with a minimal scrap rate. Will be expected to clean/debur and assemble parts while maintaining quality.
Be capable of making parts from start to finish using blueprints and/or CAD files with little or no supervision.
Must have good communications skills and be willing and able to act as a company representative.

Interesting, plastics can be a real challenge, moreso than metals. Worked in that industry for a little over a year...learned a lot about machining lol. Good opportunity to really expand your knowledge.
 
Most of the first 6-12 months in this position will be mill turn metal machining and simple 3 axis vmc metal. Plastics will come later.

There are very few shops in the world that can do what we do in composites. You would learn some skills not many people know or practice.
