$36/hour + Premium Benefits

We are urgently hiring for a manual machinist swing shift at our 34,000 sq. ft. facility in Portland, Oregon. If you are an experienced manual machinist in Oregon, Washington, or in the Portland Metro Area, and looking for a company that will value your work and will help you achieve your career goals and a well-balanced life to spend with your family, join our team. You will be working on machining projects for wind & hydropower, oil & gas, marine, pulp & paper, and other heavy industries.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 10+ years experience running large, manual machine tools.
  • Ability to independently operate lathes, mills, drill presses, and other manual shop equipment.
  • Large swing (36â€� dia.+) lathe experience a benefit.
  • Knowledge of machining procedures for mild steel, alloy steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and bronze.
  • Knowledge of precision machining procedures and ability to hold .001â€� tolerances or less.
  • Tools appropriate for metalworking trade required.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work off of prints and/or written/verbal instructions.
  • Swing shift schedule.
