The city of Tacoma is now accepting applications for Hydroelectric Project Mechanic for the Nisqually River Project. See posting link below. They like to hire Maintenance Machinist, or old school tool and die folks, not CNC Operators. Starting wage is $47.23 and they supply all your tools. Nothing ventured nothing gained!
A great chance to work away from the smog zone of the Puget Sound.

If I weren't older than Methuselah, I'd certainly toss my hat in the ring for this position. The pay sounds great, the area couldn't be better and what could be cooler than doing all kinds of different things every day...sounds like a wonderful job.

The first one looked pretty good until I saw the requirement to move so I could live within a 30-minute drive to 50 miles past BFE.

They do want you to be 30 minutes or less away, which is understandable for a powerhouse operation. But, when called the double time is good.
