The Opportunity | Manufacturing Engineer

The Manufacturing Engineer provides support for machining commercial and military products as well as specifies and develops operational sequence and manufacturing methods. Duties will also include providing technical support for all manufacturing functions. This role will write CNC programs using Siemens NX. Required programming to consist of a high level of complexity; typically, 3 + 2 multi-axis programming, but may include complex surface, and 5-axis tool paths.

Your Challenge

• Write CNC programs using Siemens NX
• Develop, prepare, and maintain manufacturing process routings and process sheets.
• Implement and maintain work standards records, including engineering and estimation of set-up and run times for all manufacturing processes.
• Develop and implement manufacturing engineering procedures.
• Responsible for methods improvements of manufacturing processes to provide most economical means of production.
• Provide technical support for plant layout, purchase of equipment, upgrade of equipment, feasibility studies.
• Perform other assignments as directed by supervisor.

Your Expertise

• Bachelors of Science, Manufacturing Engineering preferred. A candidate with equivalent work experience and a significant programming background will be considered
• CAD / CAM software knowledge
• Multi-axis CNC programming experience using Siemens NX
• Programming mills and/or lathes
• Must have extensive knowledge of ASME Y14.5M-1994 GD&T, and how it applies to programming methodology
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a precision machining environment
• Driven and ambitious outside-the-box thinker who is passionate about learning
• Aerospace precision component machining background preferred
• Experience in a fast paced job shop environment
