Summary of Position
BobCAD-CAM Inc. is seeking someone to fill a full-time position in Software Quality Assurance who has a knowledgeable background in CAD/CAM as well as knowledge in computer programming and software development. This position is responsible for software testing and reporting of all issues to the development team. Knowledge of the CAD/CAM industry and applications are used to determine correct function of the software.
The QA Engineer will work hand in hand throughout the development process, taking part in the planning and decision making of the software development process, and choose sound solutions in order to meet product targets.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Primary role is guaranteeing the software’s reliability of released versions of the products.
- Creation and maintaining of test plans
- Assist in the setup and maintenance of automated testing
- Perform Black Box testing throughout of newly created features and existing features through each development cycle including:
[*]Testing of daily builds
[*]Testing of software installers on various windows operating systems - Reporting, reviewing and maintaining all issues in the bug tracking system
- Identify and implement product testing improvements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Experience with one or more of the following object oriented programming languages: VB.net, C++, C#, Java
- Proficient knowledge of one or more of the following Manufacturing technologies: CNC Milling, Turning, Wire EDM, CNC Laser, Plasma, or Waterjet machines is a plus.
- Works well in a team environment yet can stay on task when working alone
- Ability to prioritize issues and time.
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Prior use of BobCAD-CAM software is a plus
- No prior Software Quality Assurance experience is required, however candidate must show excellent foundation of understanding in regards to CAD/CAM software in this case.
- A bachelor degree in Computer Science OR the experience in the field listed above is preferred.
