That's funny. I would have been happy as a mechanic and or machinest, but recruiter/parents convinced me to go into electronics. I spent over a year in 29 Palms to become a ground radio repairman. Ironically, I ended up doing mostly motor t/heavy equipment/etc maintenance when I deployed with the MSSG 24 maintenance platoon. Lol!
