Im going to be bringing home a 9" column by 48" arm radial drill next weekend.

The main motor, drill head and box table are currently separate from the machine. I assume that comes out to about 1000 lbs off the machine.

I have a forklift at the shop that's rated for 5000 lbs.

What do these drills weigh? I've seen 4500 to 6500 lbs online.

Attached picture is one I seen online. Don't have a picture of the exact drill on my phone.

I got one. I estimate between 5500-6500 with everything mounted and the swivel box table. The guy I got it from used a 5k forklift and two of us had to hang on the back because the rear wheels were coming off the ground. Nice drill though.

Be careful the motor is rotating in the correct direction......if reversed, the drill still works OK,but the elevating mechanism will jam at either end of its travel, maybe destructively.....Yes,this happened to me.
