Picked up this 13" Hydrashift awhile back and stuffed it inside my garage. Fast forward a few years and I am finally getting around to getting the machine up an running.
Wired it up today and to my surprise the machine shifted just like it should.
Few basic questions regarding the machine
1. Serial # 1W2D5S-313 What Year?
2. What type of oil should I put inside the headstock and carriage?
3. Does the machine take hydraulic fluid? if so where do I add it?
4. The damn tail stock quill, took it out for a quick clean, and for the life of me can't get the quill back in. Can't quite figure out how to get the damn brass quill lock adjusted to allow the quill back in, looks like a silly design.
5. Looks like it's missing the saddle/carriage lock, any idea where to source one?
6. unfortunately it only came with the Quick Collet Chuck, I believe it's an L0 Taper so I will need a chuck if someone has one.
Thanks,
She is dirty, but overall looks like it will be a decent little shop lathe.
