Cincinnati / CL&T Horizontal Mill?

I'm looking for a Cincinnati plain horizontal mill, 3hp to 5hp range, which puts my search in the 2MI, 2ML, 203, or 205 size. Or maybe the later 205 Cintimill or even a CinPak45?

The earlier 2MI or 205 types seem straightforward with their cassette style gearboxes, but I don't have experience with the variable sheave belt drives on the later Cintimill (which were apparently marketed first by Cincinnati and then later transferred to their subsidiary Cincinnati Lathe & Tool and built in Wilmington OH).

Are these variable sheave designs problematic?

One advantage of the Cintimill design over the earlier ones is the use of a separate motor on the knee, replacing the complicated mechanical drive of the knee movements by the main spindle motor.

Any reason to prefer one of these models over another?
