I have been trying to figure out why my pressure is so high on my 15 X 42 Lathe ( 500 lb + ). The bypass regulator has no effect on this pressure and I have done all the general ruling out oil, pumps,screen/filter, and now looking at the shifting block. After taking the end caps off and checking movement and replacing o rings I came to this interlock plunger and plug not sure of its function but I have read that it may have something to do with my high pressure. My problem is that I do not know how to take it out for inspection . I have removed the two set screws and that is as far as I have gotten, now seeking some advice on how to remove the Interlock plunger #6.
