Cincinnati Tilt issue on startup

Good Morning,
First time posting here, just looking for a little insight
We've got a Cincinnati Press brake, 90BX8. On startup it brings up an error "Excessive Tilt". It is visibly tilted. When you hold the palm buttons to calibrate the ram, it will move down then come back up and still be tilted and won't be calibrated, still showing the X through the little icon. The operators have said that it will usually work after sitting for awhile running or cycling power and trying until it works. When I've been called over, I'll cycle power then press RAM UP before calibrating with the palm buttons. That has worked every time I've been called over, but the lead man in that section doesn't like doing that because "that's not what they taught him at school"
Hydraulic fluid and filter have been changed, issue was happening before that. It doesn't drift down if left unblocked. No other functional issues. Counterbalance pressure? Prefill valve? Thanks in advance
