Hi,
I just got in Cincinnati Milacron 207 MK vertical mill. Everything works great on it including the rapids. But the machine doesnt work in feeds, feed only works when the rapid lever is pushed down. As soon as you release the lever it comes up due to spring action and feeds stop. If you pull the lever up machine works in rapid. Anyone has idea why it is so. My machine is simple one and not with automatic cycle and pendant control.

Not an expert on your exact model..

Most Cincinnati's need proper oil/amount in column, knee.

Feeds are operated by hydraulic pumps in knee and column.

Rapids are mechanical, and override hydraulic powered feeds.

There are a couple filter screens than can get clogged.

There are also test ports to check the pressures for feeds..

Spindle clutch must be engaged (spindle spinning) for feeds.

Well oil or oil filters doesnt seems to be an issue. Actually machine was wired for 220V and we change it to 460V. We changed the wirings on Spindle, Feed,Coolant, Hydraulic(on the rear part of machine) motor. Is there any other thing which needs to be converted for ex solenoid valves or some circuits etc.

regards,
Aditya

Be sure the top (clutch) pulley is rotating proper direction. Should be an arrow or plate indicating direction... You changed voltage, could have swapped a phase, thus reversing motor...

Turning pumps backward will not give you feeds...

Do a search here (blue bar above) for " Cincinnati 2MI feeds not working " for pressures and port locations..
