CraigsList Peoria: K&T Vertical Head for 3-5/8" Overarms

Text of add:

milling machine vertical head and 2 outboard supports - $500

Virtical head and 2 outboard supports fits Kerney and trekker milwaukee
Horizontal milling machine with 3 5/8
Overhead shafts.

I just realized that the gear in the photo is straight cut. All of the other drive gears for vertical heads that I've seen are helical. It may not be for that head at all.

2H and 2CH. (?) Never had straight cut gears to drive with. Unit will have a raised machined pad with serial and lot number stamped therein - will give age

On Edit:

'17 catalog neglects to comment on over arm dimensions

2H and 2CH will be 8.375" out to out on overarms

I agree head appears to be from that period - and if so it will be plain bearing

Double over arms were patented in 1913, so it could be nearly that old

Been looking for one for a while. Thanks!

While I'm waiting to hear back from them, Anyone have the drive gear, if I end up getting this, and need it?

If the head and overarms came from the same machine which I think they did then this came off an older machine like a 2B or 3B. Notice the clamping method on the overarm. No clue if the dimensions are the same as the "modern" machine that were produced starting in the mid 30s.
