Hello Everyone: I recently scored a 52 tooth drive gear... I think it is for a 50 spindle used on a Kearney and Trecker light hi speed milling attachment.. Anyone using this type of attachment? I am curious as to what I have bought.. Cheers from Louisiana.. Ramsay 1:)

It looks a lot like the highspeed drive gear. And it's anyone guess if there were any variations, but we have two K&T verticals for the model K and on both units the drive and driven gear have the 4 screw holes on the face of each gear to mount the gear mesh rings. The rings that set the correct mesh between the gears.

What you have is the std hi speed head... I think this gear is for the light hi speed head, the one that takes 7 Brown and Sharpe tanged tools... It could be for 2h, or bigger.. Looks like three possibilities....There may be a part number on it and I will look when it arrives.. Cheers from Louisiana.. Ramsay 1:)

Hi Ramsy, If there's any part numbers on it, here's some possibilities for the drive gear on the little guy.
2E or 2CE, used a P.N. AR AY29
2H-2CH, used P.N AR AZ 24,but with only a 40spindle taper.
2KM through 320 TF, CK, 3CF,210 TF,310 TF, used P.N. AR BA 18.
3KM,-4H, 4CH, 315-330, 415-430TF used P.N. AR BB 19.
4K-5H, 5HM, up to 1940 used P.N. AR BC 17.
4K-5CK, 6CK 425 TF-650 TF , after 1940 could have used 2 different drive gears, P.N. AR BD 27A or AR BD 27B.

This is the older catalog I have found very useful in the past..I found this one to be much more informative than ar 30.. I uploaded it to that site for that reason...Kearney & Trecker Co. - Publication Reprints - Standard Attachments for Knee Type Milling Machines - Manual | VintageMachinery.org
Cheers; Ramsay 1:)

Hello everyone: I received the gear in the mail and found #100626 etched into it... I have no clue as to what this designates as it does not correspond with any literature I have... Maybe someone can chime in.. Cheers from Louisiana.. Ramsay 1:)
