Making a little winch drum for a sawmill head lift this evening.3.5” dia solid stock 1144. Cable Lay Roughly pencils out to 3.625 tpi spooned out to accept 1/4” wire rope.

Just a little F.Y.I. On the larger Lehmann Hydrotrol lathes, the QCGB has thread pitches that match up to certain cable sizes just for cutting cable drums like your doing there but much bigger. Ken
