So I am wanting to clean up my compound and replace the oilers but I can't for the life of me get the screw retainer out of the compound. Anyone have suggestions? 
I've tried like hell to unscrew this Bushing as the parts call out calls it. I've tried to tap it out too, it's stuck like chuck. I thought applying SOME heat on the bottom side to see if it would budge but I am not sure that is a good idea or not?
14 inch LeBlonde Tool and Die makers Lathe, W/Taper attachment. Looks the same as the Regals to me.
