This is for sale locally. I think we have a way to get it to our shop. I’m not a machinist, but have been looking for a mill for a while. We have a not so nice mill that is going to cost a little to maybe get going.

We are going to look at it tomorrow, is there anything specifically that we should look at? It won’t be under power.

The whole catalog for your viewing pleasure.

The mill is maybe 100 years old and has an amazingly low top speed, because it has plain spindle bearings

http://pounceatron.dreamhosters.com/docs/kt/kt-milwaukee-catalogue19-circa1917-port.pdf

I see page 16 shows all the column gearing to be on plain bearings also

See the pages on double over arms and flanged spindle nose - two 1913 patents that would adversely affect Cincinnati for nearly 20 years - and provide the foundation for the NMTB spindle taper series - which is still more or less in use

Wow, I’ve never seen one that old. Pretty cool historic relic. If I were looking for a mill to use I’d walk away.

We went and looked at the machine. It is a really cool machine. Its way too big for us, so we probably aren’t going to make an offer on it.
