What is a chamfer reamer? You mean the chamfer on the end, or...??
Not sure why you want to make your own when they are readily available for purchase, and not overly expensive unless you get into very large sizes or solid carbide.

Worked good, not monoset - but fundamentals apply - like below wheel center just so to get the right clearance angle

The Monoset can run a spiral flute.. a thing that a #2 can't do.. but as far as most cutter grinding the Cincinnati #2 or #1 book/operators manual gives more cutter grinding information. Much that can be also used on the Monoset.
I recommend using that manual along with any TC grinding...
Yes the radius gerinding feature of the Monoset is a plus for the Monoset..but the #2 book information can also be helpful for that.
