Default NEWBIE... Taper style for mh2?

    Hello all,

    Thank you

National Machine Tool Builders taper series can be found detailed in Machinery's Handbook

It goes from (at least) NMTB 20 to NMTB 60

Yours is NMTB 50 - which was very common - having been introduced about 1927

It is common for some makes to have a vertical head attachment taper one size below the machine's main spindle - such as NMTB 40 on a 50 taper machine

Might be pubs related to your 2MH here

CAT 40 and 50 are common and minor modification will allow their use in NMTB spindles.
