Here it is out to pasture. 3B model. In an auction yard in Odessa Tx. Came from a old slick line shop that made their own tackle, for screedin the paraffin. 15-1080 lot number A9B3C220-B5DA-418C-8D64-40A4594333D6.jpgD36BE15D-F372-4F80-A6A8-A1A7810007C6.jpg
Gotta tilt yer heads don’t know why the poles are switchin

Couldn’t say in the age. Perhaps someone with better bibles than me would have the records. Prob older than a duesenberg and younger than buckboard wagon.slick line, Well I reckon from first hand experiences in the no longer vast oil fields of Luling TX proper, it’s the insertion of a thin nonelectric cable used for selective placement and retrieval of wellbore hardware, such as plugs, gauges and valves located in sidepocket mandrels. And paraffin knives. Clear as mud? Winch drums and surplus USGOV rocketwire and a couple of slivers and a cam tumbler. Downhole bailin, sandline cutting or hydrostatic pumping. Very multi use. Even seen a choke or two pulled with a slick line rig. Spin rigs on perforations for water:product surveys. Slick line. But paraffin shaving most the time, that is if the paraffinitis is more conducive than asphaltene based on the crude drawn from said borehole

Last I checked there's an ancient K&T cone-drive machine in running condition in a guy's home shop in Sylmar CA.
ADH2000 probably remembers where it is. Serial number is in the low hundreds from before the days of lot numbers. Even has a geared vertical head.
Wish I had pictures.
