Here is some pictures of a very good multi use drill. Looks like it came from Boeing. It’s in a burger joint in Portland.

Maybe the yuppie scum who used to take machines for just the legs have now graduated to wanting the entire machine. At least that way when the next fad comes along these complete machines will still be useable.

What burger joint is it at? I don't see how that works.

Drill like that recently sold in Salem at an auction for pretty decent money. I think it was same drill, but color was gray.

It's in Tilt on 13th and Everett. I was in there about two weeks ago and had fun checking it out.

Hi off topic but does anyone know how much is involved in putting a new quill seal in an asquith od 1 as mine is leaking oil

It's at least 15 years since I last worked on an OD 1 and my memory isn't what it was. I have had the spindles out in the past and I'm not sure there was an oil seal. The spindle was just a neat sliding fit. Most of the OD 1 drills leaked a small amount of oil from the spindle. There's nothing to stop you added a small seal housing of your own if it's bugging you.

You may get more advice if you create a separate thread on the general site. Not many people will be reading this thread that own an OD 1.

Regards Tyrone.

Right thanks for helping out the patent plate says its an od1 radial but its not a radial drill its a big frame like a big pedestal that is cast the same shape as the arm on the radials but the top cant move have you ever seen any like that?

Yeah I've seen those. If it's the one I think it is it's an " Asquith " OD 1 drilling head mounted on a large pedestal drill style casting. Exactly the same drilling head as the one on the radial drills. If it says OD 1 it's an OD 1.
