1993 bmc 40 hurco won't start

Hello all I am new to this forum I have just purchased a bmc 40 with ultimax 3 dual screen display one screen is dead planning on putting some other kind of crt screen on there for now but that is a minor problem. The main problem is it won't start here's what happens I turn on the main power switch ultimax 3 boots up comes to the first screen it says press f8 to continue I get by that screen then it comes up with next screen where you are suppose to be able press the manual button on the console then the power button but the manual button does not function nor do any of the other keys seem to be functioning so therefore the servos
cant fire up. Would like to know how to possibly test to see if the computer reading the inputs from the console I am kind of wondering if there is a bad board in the console. I am just not sure how to test that so if anybody has any theories or has had this problem before would like to know which direction to check next thanks for the help in advance.
