Default Activating Tool life management - Mitsubishi M80

Hey guys, I can set the values and tracking type in the tool life page.
For some reason, the control does not seem to be updating run time.

Im curious if there is a g or m code i need to be calling.

The manual for this machine is poor.....

Is it possible that TLM was an option for your control that was not purchased?

I have it on all my M70 controls.

I ASSUME that it is available on this control, as the tool life management page comes up.

On the other machine with m70 tool life is not available.

How does it work on the m70? They are very similar.

    Thanks

I just go to the offset page, then the tool life softkey, place the cursor on the field I want to alter, type in the value I want, and hit input.

I don't use life in hours/minutes, I use it in number of cycles, but I have the option to use either.

Usage is tracked by your T calls... Not sure if the time in use is only G1 (would make sense to me), or if G0 is included in that time. Number of cycles is just each time a tool is called (regardless of which offset is called with it).

My M50 manual shows that only time in G1, G2, and G3 is tracked for TLM by time.

I've never used it on my machine so don't know if or how it works.

Im attempting to set up tool life by time.
There is a job here in super duplex that is going to run for the next year.
Ideally, I want to get the programming and tool life management set up so it can be roughed through the night.

Ill try running an actual program, that might be the problem as to why its not counting.
