It's interesting how this is not being "justified". Even at 300 bucks, ... how much time does one spend on blowing off parts and set ups? Even if it saved a couple minutes only, it pays fairly quickly....
How much time does one spend running that fan? If you have a pallet changer, seems to me it would be better to swing the part around and have the operator blow it off while the machine does some cutting. This is what we learned with our attempts to deburr in the machine.
Lang... Clean Tec ..... It's marketed by Kaiser.
They work very well and I've never had one break in the last 10+ years except on 1 occasion where an Operator was trying something manually and fired one up at 20k (fan for this instance was rated 8k).
The only other times I've seen problems at other places is due to bad programming, wrong machine positioning, or never maintaining the wear parts.
YES... you can use RC props as well but generally the pitch angle is a bit slower or not angled in the a manner to blow straight out so it causes you to run alot higher rpm to move the same volume of air. But it's still not a bad gig if you choose.
However, the nice thing about the Lang units is that the props collapse when shut off. This allows you to run much larger fan diameters in very small machines and still clear the ATC and magazines. Be sure to actually read the programming notes included with the product.... there's a reason for them.
