CNC laser machine paper burning

I would really appreciate your help.
I recently purchased from China, a laser engraving 100 watt, with a stepper motor, 63 mm focus, compressor 280 watt.
My job is making wedding invitations, and I have been trying to successfully get the result of the cut, but it keeps on burning the paper by the interior side (250 grm)
I have done all the parameterizations, but the result is disappointing.
What could be the problem, the air from the compressor, that it's not enough , or the lense 63mm is not sufficient enough, or right to cut properly?
I know that the calvo is the right machine for this, but unfortunately it's economically unaffordable for me.

If that laser uses RDWorks software (typical with Ruida controller-equipped lasers), you might try RDWorksLab.com - Index page - there are lots of experienced users there for Chinese lasers.

You might be using the wrong power / speed settings. Try settings that put less power into the cut. Lower laser power and/or faster head movement. Keep turning down the power until you just barely cut through, then turn it back up a little to make sure you can cut even if there is a little variance in paper thickness. It's just paper - so with 100w, you should have no trouble...

Otherwise, I would suggest putting blue painter's masking tape over the feature you want to cut. Not sure if 3M sells the same stuff in Greece, but it is masking tape with lower adhesion and is meant to be easily peeled without damaging the adhered surface. It will help protect the paper surface and should be removable if you don't wait too long. Then cut through both the paper and tape together. Remove the tape carefully - might be difficult where you have very narrow features...

You're cutting a material that burns easily. You would probably have better results with Nitrogen shielding gas...

BTW: It's considered bad etiquette here to resurrect old "dead" threads like this and basically start a new discussion at the end of it... You might get some grief from other members who would have preferred you to create a new thread instead. Also, your machine type may also draw some complaints...

By the way - this type of masking paper is specifically sold for this purpose:
