You'll work with some of the most prominent people in the industry who love to train the right people. This is a great opportunity to slingshot your CNC career! Precision Technologies, the MECHANICAL MANUFACTURING division of Benchmark Electronics, is looking for a career-minded CNC Programmer for our Concord, CA location.
We are also strongly interested in individuals who have experience working with Mazak machines. You'll have the opportunity to be an integral part of our aggressive growth strategy by working on a successful and fast-paced equipment manufacturing team.

Skills Required:

• You'll work on close-tolerance, multi-axis machines producing parts using complex blueprints and layout drawings.
• Sets up and operate lathes, millers, shapers, grinders, planers and power drills. Works from blueprints, sketches and verbal instructions.
• Performs highly diversified machining operations such as boring, turning, facing, reaming, grinding, milling and tapering.
• Performs work on machined parts, forgings and casting which are of varying degrees of complexity in mature and critically dimensioned.
• Determines and maintains the proper operational sequences at all times, makes all necessary mathematical calculations to complete the job.
• Determines the appropriate feeds and speeds for all operations.
• Performs simple welding, brazing, silver soldering and heat treating.
• Checks own work. Usually works to tolerances of +-.001 +-.0005.
• Set-ups, operates, alters, repairs and plans own work.
• Does complex checking and interprets results of own work by setting up and operating such instruments as air gauges, electro-limit gauges, and size blocks.

Essential Functions:

• Read and understand blueprints
• Identify non-conformances based on inspection to customer requirements
• Effectively communicate, both verbally and written
• Handle multiple and changing priorities
• Respond to written and verbal instructions
• Obtain and renew certifications on assigned equipment and be willing to cross-train in other areas
• Participate in a continuous improvement activities

PAY will depend on experience
