Default Do they make this machine?

My job requires a lot of boring of various hole sizes and profiles on the same part. This requires multiple boring heads and sometimes formed cutting tools to achieve the special profiles. I am looking into u axis bore heads but life would be good if they made my dream machine as explained further. Imagine the x and y movement on top of a turret. The cutting tool could also move in the x and z relative to the turret. I could then probe the proper datums and automatically center the hole to be bored over the turret axis. I would then single point each bore to various diameters or profiles. Hope this isn’t too confusing.

Do they make such a monster? I have searched but maybe not using the right keywords?

Take a look at the Kuraki W-axis horizontal boring mills.

Look at the Heckert DBF series. They offer it in both 5 and 6 axis configs. This would be a Cadillac for what you have described. Not fiction, I have seen a 6 axis one in the wild.
