Draw Nut Adjustment

Good day everyone.
I had the chuck on our lathe off to get it cleaned up and greased, when I put it back the travel seems off, it doesn't seem to open as far as it should. Tried adjusting the draw nut off and on the tube but it really doesn't make a difference. I have had it off once before and didn't have any problems at all putting it back on again and adjusting the limits.
Chuck is a Samchully HCH-15, machine is a Mori Sieki NL3000. What am I missing?

WAG - can you pull the chuck off and manually move the draw attachment to actuate the jaws the full distance? If you can, then the chuck was likely assembled correctly and the issue may be with the draw cylinder itself. Could it have gotten stuck during your work, so it's not able to move the full distance it's supposed to?

Not a lathe guy (MILLand), so if I'm totally off my rocker please ignore.
