Hi all,
I was given a job for which the fixturing is already designed and made, and currently revisiting the fixturing is not an option. The part is an extruded aluminum heatsink with fins that protrude from the center. One fin is unsupported and I need to drill a .086 dia hole in the center of it.
Support the part is the obvious answer. For various reasons thats not an option. What is the best recommendation for tooling or programming methods that will make a good hole without bending the fin with downward cutting pressure?
