Switch maybe fine but what about the wires that connect it to the control? tease them out and check to make sure your getting the correct logic states where the limits connect to control. I know nothing about the control but there should be a way to get into the machine parameters where you will find a screen displaying the states of every switch on the machine, make they correspond to the limits on the machine.
