Default Emco 320 Runs but drawing high load

Looking for your thoughts on an Emcoturn 320 CNC Lathe running Fanuc. Owner says that it runs but the load meter is running higher than normal. Any thoughts on what it might be? Also I am not super familiar with Fanuc lathe controls so I am looking for suggestions on what to test for when I take a look at the machine. Thanks ahead of time for any and all help!

Check the brake and if it is dragging. That will cause the load meter to spike.
