Eppinger 90 degree live tool rebuild

Can't find any drawings / exploded views to know what I'm getting into. Several companies claim to rebuild them, is it something you have done? I'm sure I have the mechanical capability to do it, but if parts are not available, I'll figure on sending it out. Anyone have experience doing it? Not crashed, just got hot and stalled during use. Probably seals failed and bearings contaminated is my guess. 3 years old, moderate use.

It's just a gearbox with a set of miter gears and a few bearings.
If you can't git the bearings and seals, likely the other guys kan't either. (Wuhan issues?)

It's not nearly the rocket science that everyone seems to think.

We supply Eppinger with our lathes. They said about $450 to rebuild.

$450 to rebuild a live tool? That's pretty cheap, is that before parts?

Eppinger is good stuff, but I don't think they're too open about users servicing things, they'd rather you send it back to Germany and spend big $ or buy a new one, even bigger $.
