I got a chevalier from 1997 with fanuc controler.

Today the red led lit all of sudden. No larms or message.
Everything works except auto and mdi mode when try to start a program or mdi made program.

Axles seems jogg fine. Ref point no prob.

Checked oil and air is good.

Dont find anything useful in the manual for the machine.

The red ? LED is a Chevalier indicator saying there is an error with some operation the ladder program is trying to do. A good ladder program would have driven an error code and message to the screen. You will need a hardcopy of the ladder program or some instructions from the Chevalier operation manual to figure out what is driving the alarm.

Since oil and air are good it most likely has to do with a tripped breaker, tripped thermal overload, or toolchanger/magazine trouble.

Hi all.

Found it finally.
The therminal circut for the lubepump was tripped.
Reset and it was good to go.

Now i talked to the company that marketing chevalier here and the red led with mark "?" Is chevaliers own fault alarm and "fanuc" has nothing to do with it therefor no alarm on the screen.
Therefor i didnt found any useful info in fanucs books either.

Chevaliers manual for the machine does have an explination for it but i didnt have that one at the time.
They will send me a new one :)

Thanks all. And vancbike you where on the right track :)
