Fanuc 0TT-B Alarm 340 Axis need ZRN

i had dead batteries on a lathe at work that has not been run for quite a while. i changed the batteries but after that i got the alarms 310 320 and 340 telling me axis x,z and 4 need ZRN. I managed to do x and z by holding machine end release and moving them away from home and then doing a return. but the 4 axis (i assume this is the sub spindle) will not home. i can move it with the handle but i cant jog it or returning to origin with the joystick. also it has never been ran since i started working here and i have no experience with this machine so i may be missing something obvious.
also the hydraulics don't come on but i am not sure if the alarm is preventing them from coming on.
