I have a 68 inch swing VTL that I'm cutting some large forgings on, but the problem I'm having is when I go to set the tool Geo. offset and it goes above 99.9999 we will say 105.0 where do I put the 5.0001 should I put it in the G54 or the wear offset?

Tool geometry offset is for the tool geometry only. G54 is your work Z zero offset. You can't mix the two together.
I am confused as what you are trying to do.

if you're control has a g54 but you would have to subtract 5.000 from your other tool offsets. what you might want to try is use ur normal g54 then on that tool add a g10 X 5.000 it should shift it a extra 5 inches in X.
