This machine received RS232 just fine in the past?

I'm sure you thought of this- but are you set for the correct input device? If it's set to look for the card, and you're sending over the serial, will it just sit there and flash LSK until it times out?

Another silly thought, are you using a switchbox at the computer? I've had the machine sit there waiting for the file transfer, only to find out I was trying to send to a different machine...

Been using the same system for years, my switch box is moving the cable.

I just swapped to JD36B. I thought I only needed to change parameter 0020 to 2 for channel 2. Now it doesn't even flash LSK or Output. Must need to change something else also.

No, that would be impossible as I am a cut and paste programmer. I am doing nothing different. I think after switching channels the cable died. So I think I had one actual failure in a machine then fixed it by switching channels. It worked for a couple days then the cable died. I am ordering a new cable and if that works I will get another and a switch box. I have been told by Vancbiker plugging and unplugging RS232 cables isn't a good practice.
