Hi Folks,
Our Fanuc alpha i 8/20000 spindle motor (A06B-1497-B145) about 10 years old, has developed lots of play at the spindle coupling end and we would like to strip it and replace the bearings.
We wouldn't normally be too worried about carrying this out ourselves, but on doing some digging online there seems to be lots of mentions of Fanuc using custom bearings
Obviously the normal plan would be change like-for-like with premium high speed quality units, but my read up has casted doubt on if this is practically possible.
Would like to be prepared prior to getting spanners out.
Has anyone had any experiences of changing these bearings out ?
Cheers
