Default Fanuc oi-mf "ex1008 over command error!" when trying to call tool 9

    First, Thanks for any help.

This is a WOKE VMC with 24 tool changer and a Fanuc OI-MF control.
All tool changer works fine except tool 9.
All other tools 1-24 work fine.
In MDI or auto mode T9 gives an error: "EX1008 OVER COMMAND ERROR!"

Any idea where the tool table is stored? I am guessing there is a bad number in tool 9.

    Thank, WAZP

    On a Fanuc OI-MF control:
To initialize the tool carousel set D0-D24 the 0-24 while the carousel is on tool 1 and 0 is in the spindle.
    Tool table is located:
    SYSTEM
    PMC MAINT
    DATA
(be sure cursor is on D0001)
    OPT
    ZOOM
    (display shows D0-1096

    Thanks, WAZP

Not on all machines with the 0i series controls. The machine builder determines where and how they want to register tools, not Fanuc. Always refer to your machine builders documentation for correct locations of things like tool to pot correspondence tables, counters, timers, etc.
