I have an old Star SST-16 with a Fanuc OTT controller. Recently I had the spindle inverter repaired to get the sub spindle to work. Success with that. But, when I was going through a new program I got an alarm when I commanded an M17 (parts catcher advance). Now the machine is stuck with the message "2052 Lack of Command M18". I can't get rid of this alarm. I've tried unhooking the inverter and hooking it up again, resetting parameters, and even replacing the sensors for the parts catcher hydraulic solenoid. No luck at all. Is anyone familiar with this old dinosaur?
