Fanuc RoboDrill "resetting" when feed hold is pressed

Hey guys,

I have a couple brand new Fanuc Robodrill's with series 31i-Model B5 controls. We recently had Renishaw probes installed and ever since, when you hit feed hold, instead of just halting the X and Y movements, Movement stops, spindle stops, coolant stops, and unfortunately you can't just hit cycle start again to resume. It's like the reset button has been pressed.

I'm assuming this is a parameter but I have no idea which one. I've called the crew who installed them and I've called Renishaw and I'm waiting on Fanuc to open so I can call them.

Just wondered if anyone here had an idea.

Thanks in advance.

Nate

Are the off and on buttons responding properly?

I ask because when rehabbing the T14 I have it did the same thing, when I removed and cleaned out the OFF button it corrected it for me. I’m not sure why. But it’s an easy thing to check.

We have the same robodrill that we bought last year and that is a parameter issue. You'll have to get the service guys to turn off the off switches for the spindle, coolant and servos when you press feed-hold.
