Can anyone explain how to figure out the radius ending point length?
I'm starting at .500 dia. .750 in from Z 0
and going down G02 to .350 dia. with a .300 Radius

I apologize for not getting this.
Can you break it down step by step?
Not sure we're the 225 is coming from.
Does the length end up being .300?

Starting dia = .500
Ending dia = .350
Difference is .150 or .075 per side

Radius is .300, so any place that radius touches your part is .300 to the center.

.300R -.075 per side gives .225 length for that leg of a right triangle.
Hypotenuse of the right triangle is .300 because that is the other point that your radius touches the part. Solve for the missing leg of the triangle.

Can you walk me through solving it as well, to come up with final Z ending length?
I'm confused
Thank you

No.

I've given you everything you need. This is basic shop math.
I even gave you the equation to solve. If I gave you the answer, you wouldn't learn anything, now would you?
SMH

Build a man a fire and you warm him for a day.
Set a man on fire and he's warm for the rest of his life.

(or something like that)

Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day.

Teach a man to fish and he sits in a boat and drinks beer all day...

The ending length of the radius
So the starting Z point of where the radius begins is Z-.750 the ending I got Z- 9936

That's why I was looking to walk thru it step by step, just trying to learn on the fly.
I am a centerless grinder trying to get a job going. Our cnc guy passed away.
Thank you

I did walk you thru it step by step. All I left for you to do is subtraction, it don't get much simpler.

Start is correct, end Z is not.
