G05/G08 on Fanuc OM-C

No, none of the 0 controls we have here have that option. I believe both require certain hardware, so if you were considering flipping an option bit on, be aware that it could cause you problems.
If the option for it exists on your control, putting G5/G8 in your program should not turn up an "illegal g code" alarm. If you get that alarm, you don't have the option installed.
From the book, it *looks like* G05 is "mostly" only good for remote buffer using rs422, although I see some information that contradicts that depending on use. G8 looks like it could be promising, but only if you have it installed.
Give it a shot.
